Balakrishnan N is a corporate lawyer and qualified Chartered Accountant with over 40 years of post-qualification experience in finance, legal and corporate affairs. His career has included senior roles at organisations such as ITC Ltd., UTI and the Shaw Wallace Group, as well as directorships in large and mid-sized businesses.

Since commencing independent practice in 2004, he has advised businesses, promoters, investors and boards across a broad range of corporate, commercial and financial matters — including corporate structuring and governance, capital-markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private-equity transactions, commercial negotiations, regulatory compliance and strategic legal advisory.

He has particular experience in guiding clients through complex financial negotiations, including one-time settlement proposals, negotiated resolutions and settlement documentation. His combined legal and financial background enables him to weigh commercial considerations alongside legal risk, documentation requirements and implementation issues.

As Founder of Lexworth Law, he works with clients from the firm's base in Coimbatore and across Chennai, Pune and Mumbai, leading a practice built on clear communication, confidentiality, sound governance and practical outcomes.
